Roaming Credit

Virtually all of our hotspots are roamable, that means you can use any valid credit on any of our hotspots nationwide. However, there are a few exceptions where a SiteWiFi location will be an isolated hotspot. The reason? That’s due to New Zealand’s unique geographical constraints.

A small number of sites rely on a satellite broadband connection for their Internet services.

Whereas conventional wired ADSL data is now relatively cheap in New Zealand satellite data is still approx 50x that of a conventional ADSL connection which makes it extremely expensive.

For that reason, following the launch of our long term and higher data limits, we cannot allow credit roaming into sites using a satellite. They have their own plans which must be purchased and used on site. Just create another user account and purchase the plan for use onsite.
